McWilliams Mount Pleasant Lovedale Semillon

McWilliams Mount Pleasant Estate was founded in 1921 by pioneering winemaker Maurice O'Shea. At a time when fortified wines dominated the Australian market, he created table wines of quality and longevity. After purchasing a half share of the Mount Pleasant Estate, the McWilliams family aquired the remaining share in 1941. O'Shea was retained as Chief Winemaker and with the McWilliams family's financial input, he was able to continue winemaking and purchased and planted the Lovedale and Rosehill properties in 1946.

Since O'Shea's death in 1959, Mount Pleasant has had only two chief winemakers: Brian Walsh and the current Phil Ryan. The McWilliams Mount Pleasant Estate is today one of the most highly awarded wineries in Australia.

The McWilliams Wine Group has a portfolio 10 exceptional brands.
