The estate is owned by the Dillon Family through the vehicle Domaine Clarence Dillon. The current Président Directeur Général of the company is Prince Robert of Luxembourg, the great grandson of Clarence Dillon through his mother’s side.
The second wine of Château Haut-Brion Blanc was renamed La Clarté de Haut-Brion, prior to the 2009 vintage it was known as Plantiers du Haut-Brion. The renaming of the second wines of Château Haut-Brion is due to the fact that these wines are no longer the sibling of a single estate, but rather the offspring of both Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission, which has been under the control of the Dillon family since 1983.
The vineyard is planted with 52.6% Sémillon and 47.4% Sauvignon Blanc. Following fermentation the wine is aged for 9-12 months in 50% new oak barrels.
